Damilola “Lola” Akintola, MA, LADC/MH
Chief Executive Officer
Damilola Akintola, who goes by Lola, is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Maple Life Solutions and a Licensed Alcohol, Drug, and Mental Health Counselor. She brings extensive experience in substance use and mental health treatment to the leadership and clinical direction of the organization, with a commitment to providing care that is clinically sound, culturally responsive, and grounded in dignity and respect.
Lola is a trauma-informed clinician who believes it is a privilege to work alongside individuals during some of the most vulnerable and transformative moments of their lives. Her style is warm, direct, and collaborative, creating space for people to speak openly about difficult experiences while also encouraging honest reflection, personal accountability, and practical change.
She believes recovery is a journey of rediscovery—not simply moving away from substance use or difficult circumstances, but reconnecting with values, identity, relationships, purpose, and the parts of life that can become overshadowed along the way. In her work, she helps individuals better understand patterns that affect their lives, develop healthier ways of responding to emotions and stress, and make choices that align with the life they want to build.
Lola takes an integrative approach to counseling, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA), person-centered interventions, and trauma-informed care. She is EMDR trained, trained in Seeking Safety, a Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) Facilitator, and an ODMHSAS-certified ADSAC Assessor.
