Substance Use Counseling & Treatment
Substance use can affect health, relationships, responsibilities, decision-making, and progress toward important goals. For some people, the concern is current alcohol or drug use. For others, the focus is maintaining recovery, responding to relapse risk, or making changes that support greater stability.
At Maple Life, treatment focuses on understanding patterns of use, strengthening recovery skills, improving coping, and building on the strengths and choices that support change.
What Treatment Addresses
Depending on your needs and goals, counseling focuses on areas such as:
- Patterns of alcohol or drug use
- Triggers, cravings, and high-risk situations
- Motivation and readiness for change
- Coping skills and emotional regulation
- Decision-making and accountability
- Relapse prevention
- Harm reduction strategies
- Relationships and communication
- Recovery routines and support systems
- Maintaining progress over time
Treatment is individualized, so the focus can also include other concerns that affect substance use, recovery, or day-to-day stability.
Treatment Based on Your Needs
Substance use treatment does not look the same for everyone. Treatment is individualized and includes individual counseling, structured groups, family involvement, or a combination of supports based on treatment needs and goals.
Our team draws from evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches, with an emphasis on practical skills that can be used outside of sessions.
Maple Life offers substance use counseling and structured group services based on treatment needs and goals.
Individual Substance Use Counseling
Counseling focused on substance use, recovery goals, current concerns, and the changes a person wants to make.
Individual & Group Services
6-Week Substance Use Group
A structured group focused on substance use patterns, triggers, coping skills, decision-making, and early recovery skills.
12-Week Substance Use Group
A longer structured group that provides additional time to strengthen recovery skills, address relapse risks, and support continued progress.
Whether You Came on Your Own or Were Referred
People enter treatment for different reasons. Some seek help for themselves. Others are referred by a court, probation or supervision officer, attorney, employer, child-welfare agency, treatment provider, or another referral source.
A referral may be what brings you in, but it does not have to define what you take from treatment. Maple Life provides clear expectations, honest accountability, and space to identify the changes that matter beyond simply completing a requirement.
Recovery Over Time
Recovery is strengthened through choices, skills, routines, and supports that are practiced over time. Treatment can help identify what puts progress at risk, reinforce what is already working, and build greater stability and resilience in everyday life.
Looking for an Assessment?
Maple Life also provides Drug & Alcohol Evaluations, SASSI Assessments, and ADSAC Assessments for people seeking an evaluation or completing a referral requirement.
